Patricia
C. Farrell
Attorney
Patricia Farrell grew up in New Britain, CT and attended public schools
there. Attorney Farrell graduated from Smith College in 1975. She received
her law degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1978.
After graduation from law school, Atty. Farrell began a general private
practice in Middletown establishing her own firm in 1982, which grew to
become the law firm of Farrell, Guarino, & Boccalatte in 1988.
Over the years Atty. Farrell has been actively involved in numerous
professional and community activities. Atty. Farrell served as Corporation
Counsel for the City of Middletown. She served as an officer of the
Middlesex Bar Association. For many years she was both a member of the
House of Delegates and the Board of Governors for the Connecticut Bar
Association. Atty. Farrell has been a director of the Connecticut Title
Insurance Board since 1989. She presently serves as the Chairman of the
title insurance board and Chairman of the parent company, Connecticut
Financial Inc.
For many years Atty. Farrell served as member and president of the board
of the Independent Day School in Middlefield, CT. Atty. Farrell enjoys her
work as a mentor for children through the Middlesex Chamber of Commerce. A
favorite pastime is her involvement with the “Vintage Players”, an amateur
theater group presenting plays and readings.
Atty. Farrell’s practice primarily focuses on family law and residential
real estate. As a partner in Farrell, Guarino, & Boccalatte she is able to
provide services to her long standing clients in other areas of practice
such as business law, personal injury, commercial real estate, land use,
estate planning and probate through the practices of the other members of
the firm.
Attorney Farrell is a trained mediator and collaborative divorce attorney.
She is a founding member of Resolution Through Mediation LLC with offices
in Middletown and Clinton. For over 25 years Atty. Farrell has volunteered
her services as a Special Master in divorce and custody matters for the
courts in Hartford, New Britain, Middletown, Meriden and New Haven. Atty.
Farrell also serves as an Attorney Trial Referee. Atty. Farrell is a
member of the Connecticut Council for Divorce Mediation and Collaborative
Practitioners. She is a member of the International Association of
Collaborative Practitioners, a member of the Connecticut Colloborative
Divorce Lawyers; and a member of Divorce Solutions of Connecticut.
Peter
M. Sipples
Born
Hartford, Connecticut, August 9, 1942; admitted to Connecticut Bar, 1975.
Education: Nathan Hale-Ray High School, East Haddam, Connecticut (1960),
selected Athlete of the Century; Wesleyan University, Middletown,
Connecticut (B.A. 1964), All New England in soccer and baseball;
Middletown Sports Hall of Fame; Stetson University (J.D. Cum Laude, 1975).
Prior career: Xavier High School, Middletown, Connecticut (1964-1972),
taught English, coached soccer and baseball. Member of Lions Club, Clinton
Chamber of Commerce, CBA Planning and Zoning, Executive Committee, The
Vintage Players, St. Vincent de Paul Place, Finance Council for the
Diocese of Norwich. Favorite pastimes: theatre (both acting in plays with
wife, Pat, and attending); walking; spoiling my Vermont grandchildren,
Henry and Nicholas.

Richard
S. Sheeley
In
his nearly fifteen years of practice, Attorney Richard Sheeley has earned
a reputation as a dedicated, thoughtful and zealous advocate for his
clients, whether representing their interests inside or outside of the
courtroom. He has tried numerous cases in the state Superior Courts as
well as the U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut, including
representing clients in plaintiff's personal injury matters, commercial
and business litigation, real property disputes and family matters. He has
also represented clients in matters litigated before various Connecticut
Probate Courts throughout the State of Connecticut.
Born in New Haven, Connecticut in 1967, Attorney Sheeley completed his
undergraduate studies at Hofstra University where he graduated in 1989
from the Honors Program, magna cum laude. Thereafter, he attended law
school at the George Washington University National Law Center in
Washington, D.C., where he was the recipient of the Samuel Green
Scholarship awarded in recognition of academic achievement and
demonstrated leadership qualities. Attorney Sheeley was admitted to the
Connecticut Bar in 1993 and, in 1994, he was admitted to practice in the
U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut. He is a Partner with the law
firm of Farrell, Guarino & Boccalatte, P.C., a general practice firm with
offices in Middletown and Clinton, Connecticut, where he practices
exclusively in civil, personal injury and divorce litigation.
Attorney Sheeley regularly serves as a Special Master for family matters
pending before the Connecticut Superior Courts and he is an active member
of the Middlesex County and Connecticut Bar Associations, and the
Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association.
Kelly
S. Therrien
Born in Middletown, Connecticut, Attorney Therrien graduated from
Stonehill College and Suffolk University Law School. Attorney Therrien was
admitted to the Connecticut Bar in 2001 and concentrates her practice in
Family Law and Civil Litigation. She is a member of the American Bar
Association, Connecticut Bar Association and the Middlesex Bar
Association. Attorney Therrien is also an active member of the Young
Professionals Alliance, a division of the Middlesex Chamber of Commerce.

John
L. Boccalatte
Attorney
John Boccalatte has been practicing law in Middletown since 1979, after
receiving his law degree from UConn Law School and a Bachelor of Arts from
Elmira College in 1976. He has been a principal at the firm since 1988 and
is currently the managing member.
Attorney Boccalatte has a long general practice background, but over the
last fifteen years has practiced mainly in the areas of commercial and
residential real estate, commercial leasing, asset and business transfers
and acquisitions, lender representation, limited liability company and
corporate start-ups and counseling, landlord-tenant law and land use. Over
the last several years, he has been handling increasingly sophisticated
business transactions, working closely with clients’ financial and tax
advisers to achieve their goals in an increasingly complex business
climate, including representation of several dentists in the sale and
purchase of their practices. He is also legal counsel to the Middletown
Housing Authority, having been appointed to that position in 1986.
John has served as a Court-appointed trial referee and arbitrator in the
Middlesex Judicial District, and is also a trained mediator and a founding
member of Resolution Through Mediation, LLC.
John serves proudly as a member and is currently the Chair of the Long
Hill Estate Authority, which oversees Middletown’s historic and beautiful
Wadsworth Mansion.
John lives in Middletown with his wife Michele and between them they have
six adult children. Their favorite leisure activities include a love of
traveling, especially to Italy and the U.S. National Parks, photography,
biking, hiking, skiing and other outdoor activities.

Perrin Geenty
Susan
Perrin Geenty is a partner in the Middletown law firm of Farrell, Guarino
and Boccalatte, P.C. and a member of the Connecticut, New York and Federal
bars. A cum laude graduate of Pace University School of Law, Susan was a
Member of the Board of Editors and a Managing Editor of the Pace Law
Review from 1984-1986 and the recipient of the distinguished James S. May
Trusts and Estates Award.
Attorney Geenty is a seasoned family practitioner with a background in
family and domestic legal matters including successful litigation of
financial, custody and relocation issues drawing on state and
international law. As a trained mediator, Susan is a founding member of
Resolution Through Mediation, LLC, a mediation group that includes
practitioners from various legal disciplines and backgrounds
Susan is a member of the Middlesex, Hartford Family and the Connecticut
Bar Associations, presently serving as a member of the Board of Directors
for the Middlesex County Bar Association. She has participated in a wide
variety of civic activities and is an active as member of the Hartford
chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society ‘s “Light the Night” Committee.

and other health care facilities. Member of St. Margaret Church, Madison,
Connecticut, and its Parish Visitors Program. This program provides weekly
volunteer visits to patients in local nursing homes.
